… runs an entertainment company.
Here she is dancing in her golden wings. Photographed using only daylight, and dragging the shutter to show the movement that makes dance so captivating!

Other dogs come and go. The RSPCA at Stubbington Ark is doing a great job, and usually dogs (and cats) are found a home in a matter of weeks. But Lillian is the longest resident. She’s been there for just over a year now, just because she’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
So…
If you know anyone who is looking for a dog, who might be able to give this lovely, sweet- natured dog a second chance, contact Vanessa on 01329 666916.
Or just put a link to this blog http://harveystudios.wordpress.com onto your facebook or other networking page, and sooner or later, we’ll get Lillian a home!

I’ve won two merit prizes in a major international Master Photographer of the Year Awards.
The images are now in the finals for the Master Photography Awards 2011.
In competition with the very best photographers in the world, (there were over 2,500 images submitted this year) this is something I’m really proud of. Wish me luck for the final!”

I’m hanging pictures – on trees, on posts and buildings around Warren Field, Micheldever Station (opposite the Dove Inn), to make an exhibition of portraits and weddings with a difference.
As the portraits I do are relaxed, natural, daylight pictures, it’s kind of logical to display them in this way.
Come along and see what you think? Micheldever Station Fete Saturday 2.p.m. – 5 p.m. with live music 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

When I was a little girl my daddy taught me how to capture things in black & white and make them look real WOW!
And then when I was growing up I leant to colour print -the world turned into blue and green, bright yellow, red and pink
Photographing weddings, I learnt one important thing: Every bride’s a princess, and every groom a king
I soon progressed from studios, with flash so harsh and bright - to photographs in woods and fields, controlling natural light
I’ve had some luck, I’ve won awards. I’ve seen a thing or two. I’ve photographed in Venice, Scotland, Belgium, France and Crewe.
I’ve seen the most amazing weddings at Winchester Cathedral, Windsor castle, Westminster abbey, Cornish cliff tops, Chelsea, Kent and Crewe
Actually I lied about Crewe, I put in in because it rhymed, but all the rest were true.
So if you know of anyone who wants photographs in Crewe, I’d love to go and photograph them – I love the job I do.

Things that vanish

“Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.”
Henri Cartier Bresson
I specialise in photographing things for people who care. It’s my job is to capture emotions.
The way a family feel, enjoying themselves, at locations that mean something to them.
To convey the mission statement of a business. To put their belief into images which will show what they stand for.
Or a wedding - excitement, euphoria, love. Weddings are quite a roller coaster of emotions.
I photograph things that change -the intangible, the things people value.
So that they can be captured, before they vanish.

Which of these profile photos would you suggest that Samantha Russell of The Social Sardine use for her website/blog/Facebook/LinkedIn?
Her website gives lots of helpful tips and advice on the best way to attract potential customers to your business, also the importance of promotion and the ways to keep a captive audience. Well worth a visit.
